Momentive SNAPSIL™ RTV133 (Black) – Flame-Retardant, Low-Odour Silicone Adhesive Sealant

SNAPSIL™ RTV133 is a black, one-component, ready-to-use silicone rubber adhesive sealant recommended for evaluation in applications across the electronics, aerospace, appliance, transportation, and other industries where flame resistance and low-odour processing are critical design requirements.

Upon exposure to atmospheric moisture at room temperature, RTV133 cures to form a tough, durable, and resilient silicone rubber. Unlike standard acetoxy-cure silicones, it utilises an alcohol-based moisture cure system, releasing non-corrosive alcohol vapours instead of acetic acid. This results in a virtually odourless cure with no pungent or unpleasant by-products, making it ideal for use in confined workspaces or sensitive assembly environments.

While RTV133 offers excellent safety and compatibility advantages, it cures more slowly than acetic acid–releasing silicones, with a tack-free time of approximately 1 hour and a full through-cure (3 mm thickness) in about 48 hours under standard conditions (25°C / 50% RH).
