DC Products is a trusted supplier of silicone solutions, providing high-performance sealing products for industries throughout Australia and New Zealand. As an authorised distributor for leading silicone manufacturers like Momentive Performance Materials (formerly GE Silicones) and CHT Silicones, we offer dependable silicone gaskets and formed-in-place gasketing materials designed to endure extreme temperatures, vibrations, and chemical exposure.
Whether you need pre-made gaskets or custom form-in-place silicone gasket compounds, our solutions guarantee leak-proof and long-lasting performance across automotive, industrial, electronic, and mining settings.
How to Select the Right Silicone Gasket Supplier
Choosing the right silicone gasket supplier is critical to ensuring long-term reliability, compliance, and operational efficiency. A trusted supplier should offer technical expertise, product consistency, and regulatory compliance with standards such as MIL-A-46106B, FDA, and UL certifications.
At DC Products, we do more than just distribute — we offer application support, assist with material selection, and ensure quick local delivery from our Melbourne warehouse. As the authorized distributor for Momentive and CHT, we ensure genuine, high-quality silicone materials that meet strict industry standards.
Find a silicone gasket supplier that provides both pre-formed gaskets and RTV silicone sealants for formed-in-place applications, offering flexibility for OEM, repair, and maintenance requirements.
Installation Tips for Silicone Gaskets
Proper installation is essential for maximising the performance of silicone gaskets. When applying form-in-place gasketing compounds such as RTV1473, make sure surfaces are clean, dry, and free of oil or grease for optimal adhesion.
Apply a steady, uniform bead of silicone—usually about 1/8 inch thick—on one mating surface. For optimal sealing, assemble the parts before the silicone cures, giving it time to flow and fill surface imperfections. Avoid sliding the flanges to prevent smearing.
For applications that need easy disassembly, let the bead fully cure on one surface before joining parts, or apply a release agent like Teflon® on the second surface. Bolts can be tightened immediately to the specified torque, and re-tightening is usually not needed.
For field repairs, cured silicone gaskets can be cut with a knife and scraped clean before reapplying new material.
Quality Standards and Certifications for Silicone Gaskets
High-quality silicone gaskets must meet stringent performance and safety standards. Our silicone gasket materials comply with industrial and automotive OEM specifications. We supply one-part and two-part RTV silicones, including acetoxy-cure and addition-cure systems, all with documented technical data sheets (TDS) and safety data sheets (SDS).
These standards ensure thermal stability (from -60°C to 204°C and 260°C for short periods), oil and fuel resistance, and long-term durability in critical sealing applications.
