Momentive SNAPSIL™ RTV108 (Clear) – General Purpose Silicone Adhesive Sealant
SNAPSIL™ RTV108 (Clear) is a one-component, ready-to-use, white paste silicone sealant that cures at room temperature upon exposure to atmospheric moisture. It forms a tough, flexible, and durable silicone rubber, making it ideal for a wide range of industrial, electrical, and food-contact applications. Designed for vertical and overhead applications, these sealants maintain their shape without sagging, making them ideal for industrial gasketing, bonding, and sealing where aesthetics and performance must align.
The SNAPSIL™ RTV100 Series, approved to MILSPEC standards, is ideal for defence, aerospace, and other demanding industrial settings that need dependable, standardised silicone sealants.
As acetoxy-cure silicones, they release acetic acid vapours during the curing process.

Technical Properties
- Maximum recommended cure thickness: 6 mm (¼ inch)
- Releases acetic acid during cure
- Tack-free time: ~20 minutes at 25°C (77°F) and 50% RH
- Full cure (3 mm thickness): ~24 hours under standard conditions
