SILTRUST™ RTV11 – General Purpose Two-Part Silicone Rubber Compound
SILTRUST™ RTV11 is a two-component, solvent-free, white silicone rubber compound designed for general-purpose potting, encapsulation, mould-making, and release applications. Supplied as a base compound with dibutyl tin dilaurate (DBT) curing agent, RTV11 cures at room temperature to form a durable, resilient elastomer with excellent thermal stability and electrical insulation properties. Its low viscosity (11,000 cps) makes it easy to mix, degas, and pour, ideal for intricate moulds, deep potting, and applications requiring fine detail reproduction.
Unlike one-component moisture-cure silicones, RTV11 offers adjustable work and cure times by varying catalyst concentration, giving users greater control over processing. It is also FDA-compliant for food-contact applications, making it suitable for food grade tooling and equipment components.

Technical Notes
- Mix ratio: 0.5% DBT catalyst by weight (standard); as low as 0.1% for extended work time
- Work time: ~1.5 hours at 25°C (77°F) with 0.5% DBT
- Full cure: 24 hours at 25°C (77°F) and 50% RH
- Degassing is recommended to eliminate entrapped air before the cure
